This little life-saver is for newborn babies who either prefer to sleep with their hands up near their face, or are transitioning out of a swaddle and into a sleeping bag. If using for the latter, the arm pockets help ease the position by slowing transitioning from arms-in swaddle, to arms in a hands-up butterfly position, to arms fully out over 7-10 days.

Yes. We suggest using it with the arms-out swaddle or sleeping bag you intend your arms-out sleeper to be using at the end of the process. It is designed to be used over the top of our Cocoon Swaddle Bags (arms out), Layers or Sleeping Bag (ages 3m+). In hot weather, customers have also told us they use it with just a nappy and singlet on for sleep.

The Butterfly Cardi's 0.2 TOG rating, its a light layer suitable for use over any sleeping bag at any room temperature. A lower TOG rating means the fabric is lighter and more suitable for warmer temperatures, while a higher TOG rating indicates a warmer fabric for cooler temperatures.
